Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 2 years of experience in a hospital setting. Candidates must possess an active Virginia/Compact license at the time of submission.

Unit Information:

Join our dynamic team on the 6th Floor, where we cater to a variety of patients in a fast-paced telemetry unit.

• Number of Beds: 33
• Number of Staff: 55
• Patient Ratios: 5 - 6:1

Staffing Overview:

• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RNs, 2-3 PCTs
• Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, 7-8 RNs, 2 PCTs

Equipment Utilized:

• EKG Machines
• Code Cart
• Welch Allyn Vital Machines
• Vascular Doppler
• Wound Vacuums
• Cultura Link Interpreting Services
• Carescape Monitors for Rhythm Monitoring

Requirements:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Active Virginia/Compact Nursing License
• BLS and ACLS Certification
• Pass our Basic Rhythm Test

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing
• Excellent patient focus and care

Common Procedures Performed:

• Small Incisions and Drainage (I&D)
• Peritoneal Dialysis
• Thoracentesis (occasionally)
