Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) works alongside a multidisciplinary team to assess and address the needs of individuals within the Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program. The role involves utilizing the nursing process to provide complex nursing care, while also offering clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure safe and therapeutic patient care. The program is designed to create a supportive environment for patients to foster healing and recovery by addressing both substance use and co-occurring psychiatric issues.
Responsibilities- Identify individual and group needs, developing appropriate interventions.
- Utilize nursing processes to deliver high-quality care.
- Provide clinical supervision to MHWs for effective care delivery.
- Participate in medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal and stabilization.
- Educate patients to support their recovery journey.
- 5 years of RN experience, with inpatient psychiatric experience within the last 3 months (long-term care experience is not accepted).
- Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health with specific age groups detailed on the resume.
- Willingness to float to other units and accept charge shifts.
- CPI certification preferred; must be willing to complete if not currently held.
- Active BLS certification through AHA required.
- License eligibility: candidates must confirm they are willing and eligible to obtain the necessary state licensure.
