Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit at the Mission Hospital - Memorial Campus, a distinguished facility known for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient safety.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 20
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
  • Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 4 RNs, 2 CNAs
• Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:6, dependent on level of care
• Unit Type: Inpatient overflow unit with mixed levels of care—medical surgical and/or step-down patients.
• Average Length of Stay: Short stay (24 hours)
• Equipment: Telemetry monitoring (patients hardwired to bedside monitor), EMR - Cerner

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• Telemetry competency
• Progressive Care experience

Preferred Skills:

• Recent progressive care experience

Personality Fit

The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, excellent patient experience focus, empathy, and a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

Additional Information

• Travelers will be required to float to other units if needed.
• Dress Code: Navy and/or white top, navy bottom, all white.
• Weekends: Every other weekend required, no on-call required.

Contract Details

Guaranteed Hours: Full-time, contract position for 91 days.
