Staffmark is hiring a Benefits Coordinator in Lafayette, LA! Join a dynamic Human Resources team and play a key role in managing and administering employee benefits programs. If you have experience in benefits administration, are detail-oriented, and enjoy helping employees navigate their benefits, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Pay: $68,000/year

Shift: 1st Shift

What You'll Do:

Manage employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, and wellness programs

Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

Process enrollments, changes, and terminations accurately and timely in Workday and carrier portals

Collaborate with insurance providers and vendors for smooth benefits operations

Audit and approve benefit enrollments, life events, and status changes; maintain accurate documentation

Reconcile and code benefit invoices and submit to Finance

Track and manage leaves of absence, including FMLA, and ensure accurate COBRA administration

Approve 401(k) withdrawals and assist with annual 401(k) audits

Support HR team with benefits renewals and other assigned projects

Maintain confidentiality and provide guidance to employees on their benefits

Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2-5 years of benefits administration experience, OR 8+ years in a benefits administrator role

Experience with self-funded insurance plans is a plus

Intermediate Excel skills and strong attention to detail

Customer service-oriented with excellent communication skills

SHRM certification preferred
