Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in North Kingstown, RI! This role is perfect for a skilled mechanic looking to grow in a supportive manufacturing environment while keeping production running smoothly.
Pay & Schedule
$24.25 - $31.00/hour (based on experience)
2nd Shift: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Overtime as needed on Fridays
What You'll Do
Repair and maintain production machines to ensure efficiency and minimize downtime
Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment
Order and manage replacement parts to reduce repair delays
Assist in creating and documenting preventative maintenance programs
Support design and fabrication of custom equipment and fixtures
Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Safety, and Materials teams
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electrical issues
Provide detailed reports on completed repairs and shift activities
Promote and adhere to all workplace safety standards
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a technical program preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance/mechanic role
Strong ability to read/interpret electrical schematics
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Forklift operation experience required
Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems; assembly line experience preferred
Machine shop experience a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs. using proper techniques
Comfortable with physical demands such as standing, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
