Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Shift: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM, Every 3rd Weekend, 3x12s.
Job Description The Radiologic Technologist I is responsible for obtaining diagnostic radiographic examinations at a technical level that requires minimal supervision. The role encompasses various essential functions aimed at providing high-quality imaging services.
Responsibilities
Produces diagnostic radiographic examinations by accurately positioning patients and selecting proper technical factors based on individual patient needs.
Restricts radiation beam to protect unaffected parts of the patient using appropriate collimating devices.
Performs portable x-ray examinations in various settings, including patient rooms, operating rooms, and emergency rooms.
Identifies patients' films correctly and ensures accurate film marking.
Maintains an orderly x-ray room and prepares necessary radiopaque contrast media.
Assists physicians in administering radiopaque mixtures to patients.
Handles administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and maintaining patient records.
Provides assistance to all patients based on their individual needs.
Adheres to departmental standards and takes into account the specific needs of diverse patient populations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care facility.
Must possess a valid New Jersey State License.
Completion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and clinical requirements.
Must be able to work independently and have emergency room, trauma patient, and OR experience.
