St Michael Medical Center: Primary to St. Michael Medical Center but if needed, travelers will be required to float throughout Region Three: St Anthony Hospital – Gig Harbor, WA; St. Michael Medical Center – Silverdale, WA.
MS/Tele Nursing Float # beds 26 Required Certifications - BLS/ACLS – NIHSS (Preferred not required) Ratios 5:1 in the event of inpatient boarding could go to 6:1 EMR - Epic Charge Nurse - Yes Nurse Aides - Yes, typically 4-5 per shift Weekend Requirement - Every Other Holidays -Yes Scrub Color - No color SMMC. Professional colors, patterns, and styles. / At SAH RN scrub color is Navy Blue Tele Monitors - Yes Do nurses read strips? We have monitor techs, but nurses are responsible for reviewing. Drips - Heparin, Cardizem, Insulin (Not DKA protocol), Narcotics (Comfort) Vents - No Hospitalist or Intensivist in house - Yes IV Team - Cross Shift SWAT team to assist RT 24/7 - Yes Pharmacy 24/7 - Yes Floating - Yes, between all Med Surg/PCU/ED boarding and TBL's (temporary bed locations) units at SAH and SMMC ( these two hospitals are Region 3) Floor specific orientation - Yes, varied Common diagnosis / Types of patients - CHF, COPD, Cellulitis, ETOH Withdrawal, Kidney, Dementia, CVA Additional Notes We provide close observation through camera monitoring.
