*Description*
We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented *IT Site Support Technician* to provide comprehensive on-site technical support for desktop hardware, software, and network systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of production and office IT infrastructure.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Deliver on-site desktop support for all hardware across the manufacturing plant, including production lines and office areas.
* Set up, configure, install, and maintain desktop computers, peripherals, and mobile RF devices.
* Provide technical assistance for computers, phones, printers, and industrial printing equipment.
* Perform break/fix support for network infrastructure, servers, and end-user devices.
* Support and maintain Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments.
* Implement and manage network servers and Active Directory accounts.
* Troubleshoot basic network issues, including routers and switches.
* Re-image computers as needed to maintain system integrity and performance.
* Track and manage hardware inventory and coordinate e-waste disposal.
* Reset wireless access points, including climbing ladders and accessing elevated areas.
* Perform other duties as assigned to support IT operations.
*Essential Skills & Qualifications:*
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and make timely decisions.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Capable of multitasking and prioritizing critical tasks in a dynamic environment.
* Experience with desktop support, PC installation, and computer hardware.
* Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and mobile RF device support.
* Basic understanding of networking concepts (routers, switches, access points).
*Physical Requirements:*
* Regular use of personal computer equipment.
* Occasional stooping, crawling, and lifting of up to 50 lbs. for hardware installation and maintenance.
* Ability to climb ladders (up to 25 feet) to access wireless access points and elevated workspaces.
* Navigate catwalks and mezzanines while carrying equipment, including ducking under wires and HVAC systems.
*Additional Requirements:*
* Must complete ladder safety training.
* Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying physical demands.
* Willingness to respond to urgent technical issues during production hours.
*Pay and Benefits*
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
