Description: A candidate for this role will support the a CRO working in the pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device fields
NOTE: Position is expected to last 3 months NOTE: Position is in Hercules, CA
Compensation:$30.00 - 35.00 per hour
Responsibilities: Perform Intraperitoneal (IP) injection in rats and mice Ensure accurate dosing and proper restraint of animals to minimize stress and injury Monitor and record morbidity and mortality of laboratory animals (rats/mice) Document appropriate study records. Accurately document observations Maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of GMP's/GLP's as these pertain to work performed in the microbiology lab Perform repetitive and technically meticulous small laboratory animal (mice/ rat) research work (training will be provided). Requirements: Minimum requirement: BS degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, or a related degree Able to handle multiple projects concurrently, self-motivated, and results driven Proficiency in Office 365 and other software preferred Able to communicate effectively Willingness to work with potentially hazardous biological and chemical substances. Must be able to work in close proximity to laboratory animals (including mice, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs). Must be tolerant of animal odors. Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for extensive periods of time (up to 6 hours) Utilize ergonomics to perform repetitive motion tasks with hands and arms
