Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Services RN to join our team in the PACU/ASU unit. This role requires a skilled nurse with experience in pre-operative and post-anesthesia care. The RN will facilitate patient admissions, assist with phase 1 and 2 recoveries, and oversee patient discharges. Responsibilities include monitoring patient observations, managing discharges, and ensuring that all procedures are executed smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in the PACU/ASU setting.
• Manage patient assessments and monitor vital signs during recovery.
• Ensure thorough documentation and compliance with protocols.
• Work collaboratively with surgical teams for seamless patient transitions.
• Participate in rotating call duties and weekend coverage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a surgical or PACU setting.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS certification required.
• Experience with EPIC documentation within the last 2 years is non-negotiable.
• Prior travel experience is required.
