Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM with rotating weekly and weekend call; average call once per week and every seventh weekend.

Job Description

Join our dynamic team in Surgical Services, specializing in Orthopedic, General, ENT, Podiatry, Urology, Ophthalmology, OBGYN, and Endoscopy procedures. As a PACU/ASU RN, you will provide critical care and support to patients in recovery, ensuring optimal outcomes and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care during admission, phase 1 and phase 2 recovery, and discharges.
• Conduct pre-operative assessments and prepare patients for surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and anesthesiologists, ensuring safe and effective recovery protocols.
• Maintain compliance with unit-specific procedures and protocols, including IV starts and monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience required, with at least 1 year in the specialty.
• AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and AHA PALS certifications are mandatory.
• EPIC electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years is required.
• Prior travel experience is required.
