Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate III is the backup to the shipper/receiver and is able to ship all customer orders accurately and timely while adapting to changes and requests throughout each day. They must be flexible with their schedule to manage shipper/receiver tasks while also being part of the warehouse team and knowledgeable in Warehouse Associate II responsibilities. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service and cost are priorities and provides consistent support to teammates and the shipper/receiver at their location. They assist in coordinating backup and support for logistics functions related to all plants on site for TPO, ISO and Injection Molding shipments daily and can step in to perform any department duties in the absence of other team members.
Essential Duties
- Own the raw material cycle count process for a portion of the count week (TPO, IM or ISO)
- Own the FIFO audits to ensure the process is being met appropriately
- Own the kan ban walks and communicate the numbers back to the plant buyer
- Organizing, prioritizing and communication; ownership skills are critical
- Some drivers are not bilingual; ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams
- Adapt daily schedule and support work through lunch and break times when drivers are ready to load; breaks may shift to slower times
- Lead shipping and warehousing projects and provide positive working relationships (kaizen events, CI projects, etc.)
- Support deliveries: collect BOL, packing slips and/or invoices; verify quantities and teach others to count and verify receivables; enter data into PeopleSoft, Maximo or other systems
- Support Shipper/Receiver with radio communications for receiving; facilitate incoming trucks and direct them to the appropriate door
- Work with the team to anticipate loads and documentation to ensure WMS quantities match customer billing
- Maintain email communication for emergencies, order changes, new LTLs, and customer care needs
- Ensure truck drivers understand tarping, strapping, edge protectors, and loading procedures
- Confirm appointment times with drivers and collect required documents
- Track inbounds and outbounds and keep Carrier Point updated
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager; provide back-up coverage as needed
- Prepare daily work assignments by printing pick slips, transfer tickets, etc.
- Double-check order picking per procedures
- Process paperwork for shipments (BOL, packing slip, depletion) as needed
- Follow Hazardous Materials Transportation Guidelines for all shipments
- Post receipts for deliveries onsite and at offsite warehouses; communicate with offsite warehouse partners
- Dispatch orders for TRUCKS, LTLs, SM PKG, and CONTAINER shipments
- Process LTLs and SM PKG through carrier systems; process export documents
- Process RMA paperwork and dispatch carrier for pickup
- Facilitate monthly raw material cycle counts and coordinate with Shipping Lead on recounts
- Complete weekly Kan Ban cycle count walks; report to Plant Buyer
- Maintain safety and housekeeping; relieve associates for breaks and lunches
- Coordinate projects with Shipping Lead to maintain crew productivity
- Verify production counts and provide feedback to the Production Manager
- Implement, audit and train on FIFO processes; mentor and develop warehouse staff
- Lead with Shipping Lead in safety and housekeeping across shifts
- Ensure departmental expectations are met or exceeded
- Unload/load trucks as needed; other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED required
- 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced logistics manufacturing environment required
- Experience supporting logistics, customer care and business goals required

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiar with standard warehouse concepts
- Ability to train others; already a Warehouse Associate II
Physical Demands
- Stationary, moving, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling as needed
- Occasional standing, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching
- Occasional talking and hearing; coordination required

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on location, experience, skills, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Hourly Rate: $25.60
