Job Description
The Data Analyst gathers, cleans, and analyzes data to identify trends and patterns. Uses statistical tools and visualization techniques to provide actionable insights, supporting business decisions. Key responsibilities include data collection, cleaning, initial analysis, and creating visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to various departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather data from various sources and ensure its accuracy and reliability for analysis
- Perform preliminary assessments to identify potential issues or interesting patterns
- Create charts and graphs to effectively communicate findings to business leaders
- Generate reports and present findings in a clear and concise manner
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand business needs and translate them into data analysis tasks
Basic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in statistics, computer science, or math is preferred
- Business administration degree with 2+ years' experience analyzing data
Type and Length of Specific Experience Required
- Familiarity with programming languages (Python and SQL) is required
- Exceptional skills in Excel
- Strong math skills to calculate and interpret data
Knowledge and Skills Required
- Strong understanding of statistical concepts and data visualization tools
- Ability to critically evaluate data, identify trends and draw conclusions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organized with great attention to detail
- Ability to problem-solve to identify and address data quality issues
- CCA and/or CAP Certification is highly desired
