Overview

Singleton Schreiber, LLP is seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to join our team. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for handling key administrative and compliance-related HR functions, ensuring smooth operations and personnel file management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, capable of handling sensitive information, and committed to maintaining compliance with HR policies and procedures.

This will be a hybrid role based in our San Diego, CA office.

Salary And Benefits

$25.00-$30.00 per hour. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Monitor compliance trainings and ensure timely completion.
  • Complete and submit verification of employment (VOE) forms.
  • Process unemployment and principal forms as needed.
  • Add email communications to personnel files.
  • Organize and maintain personnel files, including onboarding documents, I-9 forms, and terminated employee archives.
  • Verify new hire documentation, including IDs, bar licenses, and paralegal certifications.
  • Track and initiate background checks.
  • Manage E-Verify processes.
  • Send welcome emails and coordinate first-day schedules for new hires.
  • Maintain and distribute the holiday calendar and meal premium policy reminders.
  • Process timecard edits as necessary.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources or a similar administrative role.
  • Experience in a legal setting is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
