Minimum Years of Experience required?
Traditional Traveler: 2+ years of ED experience Will you accept a first-time traveler? No
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
General ED complaints, abd pain, chest pain, SOB, BH patients, Geriatrics, Rarely pediatrics, occasional L&D (typically to St Joseph’s or TG)
Patient Ratios:
RN: 1:4 PCT: 1:6-12
Required License, National Certification, Certs:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC, MOAB 1&2 or CPI
Skills required:
General ED skills Soft skills: Team player, organized, strong communication, time management
Support within the Department:
PCT Receptionist/HUC 24/7 Charge nurse – does not take patients Phlebotomy? RT 24/7 Hospitalist 24/7 ED doctors and mid-level providers Lab draws: phlebotomy, nurses, and techs
Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPIC IV Pump: Alaris Med dispensing: Pyxis
Floating: If yes, where?

Orientation
(facility and unit):
General hospital orientation 1-2 shifts on unit followed by 2-3 independently to learn the facility
Scheduling:
Weekend rotation: every other On call? No Holiday Expectations: As needed per unit Approval of RTO: Up to 7 days, additional days email NM
