Overview Acara Solutions is seeking a
Senior Digital Hardware Designer
to join our client's team supporting advanced defense and intelligence systems. This role focuses on the design, development, and testing of complex electronic systems-including radar, communications, and digital signal processing equipment-critical to national security missions.
Responsibilities
Research, design, and test digital hardware systems and components (PCBs, processors, FPGAs, SoCs). Develop innovative, integrated solutions to meet evolving customer needs. Lead schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design with controlled impedance and blind/micro-vias. Conduct signal integrity and crosstalk analysis, stress/worst-case analysis, and high-reliability design reviews. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers. Collaborate with customers and internal teams to deliver mission-critical systems.
Job Requirements
Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field. 8+ years of experience in:
Schematic capture and multi-layer PCB design. Working with microprocessors, microcontrollers, FPGAs, and SoCs. Exercising independent judgment and initiative in complex design projects.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Mentor design tools. Background in high-reliability or space systems. Expertise in signal integrity, stress/worst-case analysis. Proven ability to lead projects and mentor engineers. Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
