Estimator – Central Ohio

My client, a well-established commercial general contractor in Central Ohio, is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to play a key role in preconstruction and support the delivery of successful commercial projects.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects from conceptual through final stages
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope and requirements
• Develop accurate take-offs, material and labor pricing, and subcontractor comparisons
• Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
• Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving strategies
• Support bid presentations and client meetings

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a construction estimator, preferably in commercial general contracting
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry pricing
• Proficiency with estimating software and take-off tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift)
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
