Senior Accountant Job at Atrium Staffing in Fort Lauderdale

Our client is a growing retail and apparel company. They are looking for a Senior Accountant.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$80k - $90k

Position Overview:

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the company's financial activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with a passion for the retail industry.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Financial Report: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Review and post journal entries, and monitor transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes. Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, and customer collections.
• Month-end and Year-end Close: Senior Accountant will lead the month-end and year-end closing processes. Coordinate with other teams to ensure all financial activities are accurately recorded and reported within set timelines.
• Budget and Forecast Management: Collaborate with the finance team to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis to key stakeholders.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to support decision-making processes. Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for cost optimization.
• Tax Compliance: Senior Accountant will assist in preparing tax returns and provide support during audits. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.

Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accountant:

• 4 years minimum experience in Accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting, including financial reporting and month-end close.
