Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and licensed Commercial Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial settings such as office buildings, retail stores, warehouses, and industrial facilities. This role requires a solid understanding of commercial electrical systems, safety protocols, and local/national electrical codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial environments.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Ensure electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in a timely and safe manner.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Valid state-issued Electrician's License (Journeyman or Master Electrician, as applicable).
  • High school diploma or GED; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program preferred.
  • Minimum [X] years of experience in commercial electrical work.
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial electrical systems and the NEC.
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OSHA 10/30 certification.
  • Experience with energy management systems, generators, or fire alarm systems.
  • Familiarity with building automation systems (BAS).
Work Environment:
  • Work is performed in various commercial settings (indoor and outdoor).
  • May involve exposure to noise, dust, and hazardous materials.
  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required on job sites.
