Lead/Manage all aspects of company accounting, including managing the Finance Team, providing accurate and timely financial reporting (statements, budgets, projections, analytics), maintaining financial systems, processes and controls, and overall functional integrity. Evaluate, analyze, and make recommendations pertaining to the company’s strategic plans and performance, investments, resource allocation, change management, and risk management. Collaborate with the CEO and Leadership Team on planning, execution, critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving to achieve goals. Lead, manage and guide the professional development of the accounting and finance team members. Oversee accounting functions: cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and the general ledger; produce financial statements and management reports. Manage monthly fully reconciled, accrual accounting financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and produce budgets and projections with variance analyses. Coordinate capital and cash flow projections and management, including multiple-outcome scenarios. Establish and maintain financial controls, internal audits, and fraud/theft protections; ensure financial compliance (tax filings, lender/investor requirements, regulatory requirements). Manage fiscal relationships with partners, including contracts; provide financial health analysis, margin analysis, ROI calculations, and business model optimization. Develop and maintain leading/lagging indicators and benchmarking to inform financial performance; create ad hoc financial reporting and risk assessments as needed. Plan and evaluate business investments in new services and partnerships; negotiate/advise on high risk/high impact financial deals; raise issues with potential solutions. Work with Leadership Team to refine budgets for optimal efficiency and results; interface with bankers, CPAs, attorneys, vendors, partners, investors and stakeholders as needed. Guide managers in budgeting sub-teams; improve systems to drive decision-making and efficiency; articulate financial concepts clearly to all team members. Sharpen strategy with the Leadership Team to enable sustainable growth, recurring revenue, product/resource development, and mission success. Foster a friendly, diverse, collaborative, equitable, inclusive, and efficient team culture; develop and implement corporate financial strategies supporting growth. Prepare quarterly forecasts and annual budgets of revenue and expenses; enhance systems, controls, and measures to support expansion. Oversee transaction processing with attention to margins; represent the company financially to external constituents (investors, lenders, auditors, customers). Manage semi-monthly cash flow reporting for lenders; create reports on accounts receivable/payable and inventory; oversee liquidity, debt, and asset management. Use data to advise on product development, market expansion, M&A and capital investments; plan and forecast across the organization. Qualifications
At least 15 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or finance functions. Proven track record as a CFO in growth-focused organizations generating revenues of $1B+. Minimum 10 years leading/supervising accounting and IT departments. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Demonstrated M&A experience within multi-entity organizations. Experience working in nationwide, multi-site operations. CPA or CMA required; MBA preferred. GAAP, FASB, and GASB knowledge; tax laws knowledge; ability to develop management reports and dashboards. Experience with budgeting, data processing, MIS, and financial analysis; start-up or lean growth experience a plus. Ability to work with owner-operator entrepreneurs a plus; flexible to work outside traditional hours. Strong planning, budgeting, and control capabilities; ability to communicate clearly and supervise teams; ability to manage multiple complex projects. Ability to coordinate long- and short-term planning; data analysis and clear reporting; strong interpersonal relationships. Proficiency in English; ability to interact with management at all levels; ability to work under pressure. Strong financial control, risk assessment, and decision-support skills. Other
