One of The Sage Group’s clients is looking for a Performance Marketing Manager with 3-7 years driving paid search in high growth B2B tech; AI industry experience is a plus. The client has built a B2B conversational relationship platform that shows you who is using your product or website and makes it easy to personally communicate with them with targeted content, behavior-driven messages, and conversational support.

Client’s AI agent Fin, the most advanced customer service AI agent on the market, lets businesses deliver always-on, impeccable customer service and ultimately transform their customer experiences for the better. Fin can also be combined with our Helpdesk to become a complete solution called the Intercom Customer Service Suite, which provides AI enhanced support for the more complex or high touch queries that require a human agent.

What’s the opportunity? Looking for a Performance Marketing Manager with deep expertise in Google Ads to help take our paid search program to the next level. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in a data-driven environment, is energized by performance optimization, and enjoys translating insights into scalable strategy.

You’ll be a key player in shaping how we acquire high-quality leads and customers through search. This role is ideal for someone who’s comfortable with complexity—managing large datasets, experimenting with bidding strategies, and drawing insights that influence broader growth initiatives.

What You’ll Own

End-to-end ownership of our Google Ads program, including Search, Performance Max, and experimental campaign types.

Strategy development and tactical execution across keyword planning, audience targeting, bidding, and creative testing.

Continuous performance analysis and experimentation, driving incremental gains through structured testing and iteration.

Development of dashboards, pacing reports, and performance insights to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.

Close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align campaign messaging and landing pages.

Identification of growth opportunities across the funnel, surfacing strategic insights backed by data.

What We’re Looking For

3-7 years of hands-on experience managing Google Ads paid search campaigns, ideally in high-growth B2B tech environments; AI experience or SaaS paid acquisition is a plus.

Strong proficiency with Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, and campaign tracking infrastructure.

Comfort with large data sets using spreadsheets and BI tools (Looker, Tableau, etc.).

End-to-end ownership of Google Ads programs, including Search, Performance Max, and experimental types.

Strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously—know when to zoom into the details and when to zoom out.

Organized, analytical, curious, and able to turn data into action.

Excellent communicator with the ability to distill complex performance insights into clear, data-backed recommendations.

Familiarity with SQL.

Details Duration:

3-6 months to start, plus extension and contract-to-hire potential.

Location:

hybrid 1-2 days a week in San Francisco, CA.

Compensation:

$65-82/hr DOE.
