Located in White Plains, NY. This role leads US GAAP accounting research and documentation in conjunction with a variety of non-standard transactions across our worldwide insurance, reinsurance and mortgage operations. It also involves work on new or proposed accounting standards set forth by the FASB and/or SEC, and other general corporate accounting matters. The ideal candidate will have strong written and oral communication skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to multitask to effectively manage time across responsibilities. The role reports to the EVP, Deputy CFO and may require limited travel. This is a hybrid position based in White Plains, NY with two days in the office and three days remote.

This information is provided for transparency and may be adjusted in the future. Base pay range $167,195.00/yr - $226,205.00/yr Job Responsibilities

Partner with Executive and Senior management to ensure the integrity of the Company’s US GAAP financial statements Develop and maintain group-wide corporate accounting policies Monitor and assess the application of US GAAP accounting policies across the organization, evaluate impact of accounting standard changes, and lead implementation efforts as required Support business leaders and segment finance professionals with accounting guidance for significant, new or unusual transactions Assess and communicate the impact of new accounting policies on consolidated financial statements and segment reporting to executive management Collaborate with other groups to implement new accounting standards and disclosure requirements and support publicly filed financial statements and disclosures Ensure alignment of accounting policies for M&A transactions Manage relationships with external auditors during the annual audit and quarterly reviews, including handling accounting/audit issues, fees, and timing of work Review and/or perform due diligence on potential transactions Manage and develop accounting policy and finance staff Desired Skills/Experience

Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with individuals at all levels Strong knowledge of financial accounting for financial services, including risk transfer, reinsurance accounting, business combinations, consolidation, equity method, derivatives, revenue recognition and segment reporting Proven ability to meet deadlines while working independently and in a team Public accounting experience a plus Public company experience a plus US Statutory and/or IFRS accounting experience a plus Required Skills/Experience

8+ years of US GAAP accounting experience in a similar role, specializing in the property/casualty insurance industry Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); ability to model and create complex spreadsheets, lookups, pivot tables, and analysis Education

BA in accounting CPA required Compensation & Benefits For individuals assigned to work in White Plains, NY, the base salary range is provided. Position is incentive eligible. The pay range may be modified in the future.
