Overview

Title: Senior IT Operations Support Specialist

This role provides IT operations support for Rolls-Royce solutions America, focusing on 2nd level end-user and infrastructure support, asset management, and collaboration with global IT teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide IT support for internal users of Rolls-Royce Solutions America IT systems via phone, email, and other remote support utilities using all available tools and resources
  • Provide 2nd level end-user support for user administration, general systems access, client devices, software, and applications, and assist other 2nd and 3rd level supporters for troubleshooting
  • Provide 2nd level support for telecommunications, network, and server hardware & systems, and assist other 2nd and 3rd level supporters for troubleshooting
  • Assist with deployment, configuration, and installation of end-user client devices (PCs, peripherals, printers, handheld devices, scanners, desk phones, etc.)
  • Preserve and enforce the company’s IT policies and procedures and follow IT processes through local work instructions
  • Use the corporate IT service desk system to create/update tickets for all incidents and service requests, documenting all communications and remedial actions
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global members of the Rolls-Royce Power Systems IT organization to improve service levels and expand the knowledge base
  • Work with local contractors to install and troubleshoot IT equipment
  • Provide 2nd level support for VoIP systems, and assist 2nd/3rd level supporters for troubleshooting as needed
  • Manage and maintain IT assets and inventory using internal asset management tools
  • Participate in large-scale equipment moves and technology refreshes
  • Promote a compliance culture and adhere to the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct
  • Perform special projects as required

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree in IT, Computer Engineering or Science and 5 years of IT support experience in a diverse hardware/software/applications environment; or 9 years of experience in IT support in such an environment
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Four years of experience with Microsoft operating systems and office productivity products
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills and the ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to work effectively in a global support model with a large multinational user base
  • Adaptability to changing circumstances
  • Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills
  • Ability to gather facts, analyze problems, and provide root-cause solutions
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and holidays
  • Ability to work overtime with short notice
  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 30 lbs without mechanical assistance

Work Environment

Daily work is performed in an assembly facility. This position has a traditional on-site schedule (Monday – Friday) with 100% on-site presence. Flexibility for off-shift work may be required.

Pay Range

$29.69 - $44.54 per hour
