The Boston office of a successful, global law firm is seeking a qualified Litigation Legal Secretary to join their team. Great place to work with an excellent salary and top-notch benefits. Job Summary

The Legal Secretary is responsible for providing administrative support to a team of attorneys and/or paralegals. Experience

Minimum of 4 years of legal secretarial experience in a Litigation practice, including at least 3 years supporting billing attorneys. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare accurate, properly formatted correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents from handwritten drafts and transcription software. Prepare court filings, government documentation, or closing materials as appropriate. Create shell documents from Forte, including automatic numbering via Litera and/or native Word. Prepare court filings and coordinate with attorney services regarding their status. Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings, organizing court reporters, conference rooms, and catering, and coordinating schedules. File documents with various courts, including state, district, and courts of appeal. Create tables of contents and authorities. Maintain current Proofs of Service and Service Lists. Prepare check requests, new case reports, run conflict checks, and open new files. Record daily time entries as directed. Prepare client billing, including review and editing of proformas, cover letters, and mailing/emailing bills. Organize, scan, copy, fax, and file legal documents in both paper and electronic systems. Facilitate meeting deadlines by managing multiple calendars and providing reminders. Answer calls, take notes/messages, and redirect calls as needed. Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys. Process reimbursements and vendor invoices. Other Duties and Responsibilities

Provide coverage during secretarial absences and assist with overflow work. Draft standard correspondence and documents for team approval. Maintain client and contact lists and other electronic databases.
