Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform job cost accounting and maintain accuracy of job cost ledgers
- Monitor and track project budgets, cost-to-complete, and work-in-progress (WIP) reports
- Support monthly and year-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry-specific regulations
- Assist with audits, tax reporting, and external financial reviews
- Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Analyze variances and provide insight into project financial performance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred but not required)
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles, job costing, and WIP accounting
- Experience with accounting systems such as Viewpoint, Sage 300 CRE (Timberline), Procore, or similar construction software
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
