Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking a Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr. MSL) for the Autoantibody Pipeline in the Northeast. This is a field-based role with travel primarily within the assigned geography (estimated 70% travel). The Sr. MSL provides fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education to opinion leaders, healthcare professionals, and internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. The Sr. MSL serves as an established scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products within the Therapeutic Area alignment. The role requires staying current with scientific and treatment landscape trends, providing research support for company and investigator-initiated research, and operating with integrity and in line with credo values. Responsibilities include building external relationships with external leaders and healthcare providers, developing and managing a geographical territory, and delivering a territory strategic plan with educational activities for clinicians, institutions, and community practices. The Sr. MSL collaborates with field-based partners to support healthcare providers and positively impact patient care. The role also involves participating in scientific projects, presenting at conferences, sharing medical insights, and engaging in advisory boards and investigator meetings as appropriate. The Sr. MSL conducts all activities in accordance with current regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines. This is a field-based clinical position with travel, including in-person engagements when appropriate. Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a field strategic plan for the territory. Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries from healthcare professionals and investigators, integrating scientific data including real-world evidence into practice. Present data and information tailored to the audience and request. Execute proactive and reactive outreach plans within approved legal/HEOR processes. Integrate scientific data into real-life practice to meet customer needs and adapt communication style accordingly. Anticipate stakeholder perspectives and coordinate with internal teams. Prioritize franchise customer initiatives while balancing administrative and project duties. Lead at least one scientific or strategic Immunology project and identify educational gaps to elevate team knowledge. Engage with external investigators and act as liaison to R&D, Medical Affairs, and operations teams. Provide clinical trial support to identify sites, resolve issues, and participate in site initiation and investigator meetings. Represent J&J at key scientific meetings, congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and investigator meetings. Maintain strong scientific acumen by participating in team calls, trainings, and journal clubs; stay informed on current standard of care and scientific developments. Attend and contribute at scientific conferences to gather new information relevant to the company and the external scientific community. Document and share medical insights; synthesize data for MSL team and partners. Allocate time for self-driven learning on the scientific landscape. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support patient care and educational activities. Continuous Support Of Department Operations And Internal Partners

Complete administrative requirements timely, accurately, and compliantly (e.g., expense reports, activity documentation). Maintain composure in uncertain circumstances with limited direction. Support regional and local sales training, and collaborate with Sales Learning and Development. Communicate regularly with field-based partners and other Immunology MSL teams. Partner with others to lead or participate in large-scale projects. Maintain competence in regulatory and healthcare compliance guidelines, corporate policies on conduct, and Medical Affairs SOPs. Qualifications

Required : A PharmD, PhD, or MD with 3+ years of relevant hematology, immunology, and/or auto/alloimmune disease experience; minimum 3 years MSL experience, and/or 2-3 years related clinical or research experience; proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to travel up to 70%. Preferred : Launch experience in rare disease is highly preferred; significant experience giving presentations is highly preferred. Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
