Vice President of Strategic Communications
to lead and elevate the organization’s storytelling, media engagement, and brand presence during a time of unprecedented growth and transformation. As the largest homeless services provider in New England, Pine Street Inn is implementing a new strategic plan that includes its most ambitious expansion of supportive housing to date. The VP will be a strategic and visionary communicator, skilled in translating complex data into powerful narratives that drive action. With a commitment to Pine Street’s mission, this leader will combine creative storytelling, political savvy, and operational excellence to ensure the organization’s voice is consistent, compelling, and inclusive. Key Responsibilities
Lead the creation and implementation of an integrated communications strategy aligned with Pine Street’s mission and strategic plan. Drive external engagement by cultivating media relationships, managing brand identity, and expanding digital outreach. Build content that informs, inspires, and activates diverse audiences, including donors, elected officials, and community partners. Strengthen internal communications to support a growing workforce across 40+ locations. Empower cross-functional teams and manage a skilled communications staff to execute high-impact campaigns and initiatives. Qualifications
Authentic commitment to Pine Street’s mission and ability to articulate the case for support to diverse stakeholders. Minimum of 12 years of strategic communications experience with a proven track record of designing comprehensive marketing strategies and developing innovative multi-channel campaigns to expand brand awareness. Minimum of seven years of staff and operational management of a team. Knowledge of and experience building strong media and external partnerships. Excellent storytelling, writing, and public speaking skills. Highly developed leadership, communications, and project management skills. Team player with an ability to communicate in a positive way and effectively motivate staff and stakeholders.
