Amazon Ads is seeking an experienced Manager for our Programmatic Solutions Consultants team to join our growing business based in New York City. Amazon Ads helps brands create experiences that delight customers and deliver meaningful results. Our solutions on Amazon.com, services like Twitch, IMDb TV, Alexa, Amazon Music, and partnerships with third-party publishers and exchanges make Amazon Ads the amplifier for brands to reach the right audiences in the right places, both on and off Amazon. Our programmatic advertising platform, the Amazon Demand Side Platform (DSP), is increasingly popular with major advertisers and agencies worldwide. We aim to turn e-commerce advertising into a science that all users can leverage for programmatic advertising.

As a manager, you will lead a critical portion of our DSP Services team, working with enterprise agency and advertiser customers. You will own a team of Programmatic Solutions Consultants with expertise in advertising technology, programmatic advertising, and the Amazon DSP, providing services from custom training programs to product and campaign strategy sessions and technical troubleshooting. The goal is to help customers integrate our technology into their workflows and drive self-sufficiency within the Amazon DSP.

You have experience managing a team and can work and inspire across the US and worldwide. You have a track record of delivering complex projects and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You show problem-solving capabilities across technical and non-technical teams, strong analytical acumen, and comfort drawing insights from large data sets. You stay current with industry and competitive trends and can execute at tactical and strategic levels to drive customer satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities

  • Navigate a high level of ambiguity. Identify key business problems to prioritize and present solutions to solve them on behalf of the business.
  • Take ownership of managing a team of Programmatic Solutions Consultants, including resource planning and driving success for the team’s customer category, with a complete understanding of internal and external variables that impact the business.
  • Work tactically and strategically. Determine the right strategy and where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome of the assigned category.
  • Be comfortable working with data to develop new opportunity areas, track program metrics, and use findings to influence business decisions.
  • Set goals and direction for the team, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision.
  • Hire, develop, and lead a team of Programmatic Solutions Consultants.
  • Thrive on technology and data and monitor a services organization to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Generate and implement big ideas to drive business improvement, innovation, and scale within the team and across the business. Lead cross-functional collaboration to implement big ideas.
  • Anticipate bottlenecks, assess risks, mitigate issues, provide escalation management, and make trade-offs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups and represent Amazon in meetings with senior executive teams from top customers to build long-term strategic relationships.

A day in the life

  • Lead the frontline team tasked with enabling trading desk customers to be successful in using the Amazon DSP.
  • Attend meetings with client leadership to review customer certification and support plans as a results-oriented supervisor.
  • Join calls with Ad Tech Sales stakeholders to determine strategy and coverage for specific accounts.
  • Meet with product and partner teams to review documents proposing feature upgrades to unblock customer needs and influence roadmap prioritization.
  • Hold one-on-one conversations with direct reports about career paths and rollout of new tools.
  • Prepare your section of a weekly business review document to review data-driven insights and discuss team wins and improvement areas with leadership.

Our compensation reflects cost of labor across several US markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $126,300/year to $208,800/year, depending on location and experience.
