ISCaP (Infrastructure Supply Chain & Procurement) helps deliver solutions to source, build and maintain our socially responsible data center supply chains.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. We are seeking a supply chain manager for Electromechanical/Power Supply/Thermal components to deliver the best operating, lowest cost infrastructure in the world. In this role, you will plan, coordinate and manage allocations of infrastructure components across multiple manufacturers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Perform forecasting, demand analysis, material/inventory management, and manage supply buffers with OEMs/ODMs.
• Understand manufacturing processes to verify supply commitments and reduce cycle times.
• Work with component suppliers and server manufacturers to analyze, reconcile allocations and monitor changes and cancellations.
• Understand the supply chain network and work with analytics and software development teams, driving automation.
• Develop analytical tools and dashboards to track metrics, monitor SLAs, and report findings.
• Produce written recommendations and insights to inform key stakeholders of supply chain health and help shape solution design.

Key job responsibilities

• Supplier forecast generation and demand / supply / material planning with OEMs/ODMs.
• Allocations of AWS material from inventory hubs to suppliers.
• Requirements and specification reviews with Hardware Engineering.
• Ocean, air, and ground transportation planning.
• Supply heatmap generation.
• Supplier management.
• End-to-end supply continuity for NPI/Sustaining programs.

A day in the life

• Material/inventory planning with ODMs/OEMs.
• Supply/demand planning and forecasting.
• Maintaining continuity of supply (COS).
• Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership.
• Working with data and analytics (ability to view, edit, and extrapolate data in Excel or similar spreadsheet software).
• Working with suppliers/vendors, inventory warehousing teams.
• Managing electromechanical component supply chain (Power Supply Units, Powershelves/racks/controllers, Inverters, racks, frames, mechanical accessories, chassis, fans, heatsinks, rack manifolds, cold plates, enclosures, etc.).
• Capacity planning (expanding new manufacturing lines) with OEMs/ODMs.

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or an advanced degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field.
• 6+ years in supply chain, planning, procurement, manufacturing or 4+ years with an advanced degree.
• 4+ years with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, etc.
• 4+ years in program, project, or product management, or leading an implementation of a product.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MBA or advanced degree in engineering, supply chain or other quantitative disciplines.
• Experience in data centers, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company.
• Global Supply Chain Experience.
• Fluent in multiple languages preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant supply chain experience.
• Understanding of the implications of different operational choices to guide teams and leadership to best solutions for the organization.
• Analytical skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining.
• Ability to model supply chain strategies to define cost and performance impacts, trade-offs, and risks.
• Ability to think big and drive innovation throughout the supply chain.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to dive deep.
• Effective communication at all levels of the organization.
• Leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience creating an innovative global supply strategy with tangible business benefits.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year to $220,200/year, depending on market and experience.
