Join the Overnight Staff Pharmacist role at Amazon Pharmacy in St. Louis, MO / Sauget, IL. Amazon focuses on removing barriers to medications, providing 24/7 customer service, transparent pricing, and home delivery to help customers stay healthy and take medications as prescribed.

Responsibilities

  • Hands-on involvement in pharmacy operations, including dispensing medications and managing the full prescription fulfillment process from initiation to final shipment. This includes filling, verifying, and packing orders for shipment, in addition to pharmacist verifications.
  • Management and maintenance of customer profiles in PharmacyOS.
  • Initial prescription order processing and verification.
  • Prescription transfer coordination.
  • New prescription acquisition and processing.
  • Focus on system-based verification and documentation.

Shifts

  • Sunday-Wednesday 10-hour shifts, starts 6pm
  • Wednesday-Saturday 10-hour shifts, starts 6pm
  • Friday-Monday 10-hour shifts, starts 6pm
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10-hour shifts, starts 6pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify medication quality assurance for all packet and bulk dispenses; ensure a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end in collaboration with the pharmacy team.
  • Collaborate with other staff pharmacists to ensure production related to new business lines undergoes a thorough quality assurance check prior to shift end.
  • Complete ancillary housekeeping tasks including checking returns, inputting medication rejects, overseeing substitutiones, and canister approval.
  • Answer clinical questions, provide clinical guidance.
  • Investigate errors and facilitate proper resolution and reporting.
  • Collate and deliver pertinent pharmacy information to distribution team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company procedures, Federal/State laws, rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other members of the pharmacy team to maintain customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or PharmD Degree
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist License in the state in which you are employed, and others upon request.
  • Additional licenses may be required if domicile state differs from state of employment
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws, federal and state regulations concerning patient care
  • Exemplary interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication
  • Ability to perform basic computer functions
  • Warehouse work, including the ability to lift 20lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in LTC or Retail Setting
  • Excellent communication skills

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year to $161,000/year. Pay is based on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
