Position Title: Food Warehouse Manager

Reports to: Executive Chef

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement storage systems, policies and procedures to ensure maximum use and efficiency of space and storage areas in warehousing operations.
  2. Contact vendors to reconcile invoice discrepancies, shortages, over shipments or to arrange for emergency shipments or requisitions.
  3. Ensure your department’s team is set with the operation in mind: hire & recruit for new talent, integrate new team members, supervise assigned personnel, evaluate performance, develop, coach, issue documentation, and manage employee exits.
  4. Remain knowledgeable and manage in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws.
  5. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment.
  6. Uphold and demonstrate a complete understanding of company policies and procedures.
  7. Direct and maintain efficient centralized warehousing operation by establishing control procedures for cataloging, inventory control, bulk storage and distribution of materials, equipment and supplies and assist in maintaining this supply system.
  8. Ensure SSAfety standards are met by upholding training and daily operational expectations for department staff.
  9. Supervise, as necessary, clerical data entry staff involved in transmitting all warehousing documentation to the corporate office.
  10. Coordinate all warehousing activities with management officials and representatives from the corporate office.
  11. Plan and supervise receipt, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment in large centralized warehousing operations.
  12. Supervise maintenance of facilities, material handling, equipment, and inventory warehousing control systems, manual or automated.
  13. Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations.
  14. Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required.
  15. Compile and submit regular reports of damage, outdated stock or supplies, over and under shipments, return of goods to vendor, etc.
  16. Support unit in being an example for Company & Client guidelines with regard to Sustainability/Conservation efforts.
  17. Support SSA / Unit in driving community effort through hiring efforts, engagement activities, and focus on opportunities of giving back.
  18. Perform other tasks as deemed necessary.

Job Requirements:

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to articulate to our team, Executive Chef, General Manager and HQ personnel as necessary.
  2. Proven leadership skills with an understanding of the importance of team building/development, while fostering partnerships.
  3. Exceptional problem solving/decision making skills combined with the ability to be organized.
  4. Demonstrates organizational and planning skills.
  5. Demonstrates the ability to remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Computer and/or inventory system knowledge.
  7. Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to move and handle boxes (35lbs – 50lbs or more) as necessary to operation.
  8. Ability to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed.
  9. Driving company vehicle and/or golf cart within the scope of employment requires a valid driver’s license and is subject to a DMV check.

Previous Experience:

  1. Three - Five years minimum in food warehouse supervisor experience preferred.
  2. Background in receiving, storing, inventory and distribution of food & beverage in hotel, entertainment or cultural attraction venue a plus.
  3. ServSafe or Food Certification a plus.
  4. All education backgrounds eligible, must be 18 years or older.
