Overview

Starting wage for the Warehouse Manager is based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Construction Resources offers additional competitive and non-financial benefits.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for monitoring levels of supplies, ordering new materials, and performing data analytics. The Warehouse Manager will coordinate and expedite the flow of paperwork and receiving materials within and/or between departments of Sourcing and Production according to production schedules. The Warehouse Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the efficient operation of a warehouse or distribution center.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of products.
  • Implement and optimize inventory control procedures.
  • Manage and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Schedule and organize work assignments for warehouse personnel.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Streamline warehouse processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement safety protocols.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate the picking, packing, and shipping of orders.
  • Implement systems to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet customer demands.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and conveyor systems.
  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and meets safety standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to optimize the supply chain.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and warehouse metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and manage the warehouse budget.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures.
  • Communicate with field personnel, drivers, and service technicians to relay assignment details and updates.
  • Monitor resource utilization and availability to optimize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Provide support to resolve scheduling conflicts, delays, or emergencies as they arise.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
