Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist-I to support our client’s medical facility, which is based in Sarasota, FL.
This is a Contract job with a possible extension opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Location: Sarasota, FL, 34239
Schedule: Monday-Friday 630A-330P with rotational Saturday's 7A-11A
Pay Range: $17.74- $19.74 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume
Job Requirements:
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection (blood, urine, fecal) using straight and butterfly needles
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following proper protocols.
- Accurately label and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during blood collection procedures.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper use of phlebotomy equipment and work areas.
- Follow all infection control, HIPAA, and safety guidelines.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 6 months experience REQUIRED.
- One(+) years phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience a must.
