Hourly Rate: $20.02

Position Summary

On-call Phlebotomist position available for our Medical Clinic in Aberdeen. The Phlebotomist will follow patient care upon completion of venipuncture and is responsible for performing phlebotomy, waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, and Spirometry to assist in the diagnostic and treatment of patients. Duties include maintaining lab reports and logs, processing specimens for outside referrals, and keeping adequate inventory of supplies. All tasks are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with Sea Mar Health and Safety and infection control program. Must be prepared to assist the Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist when necessary.

Qualifications and/or Education

• Active MA-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification from the Washington State Department of Health required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Exceptional customer service and blood drawing skills
• Foreign applicant requires US equivalency for HS Diploma; international education equivalents applied to US education
• Graduated and certified from a recognized US phlebotomy school program or documented accreditation of foreign schools
• Must pass a pre-hire competency test
• Ability to communicate in English; Spanish or other languages desirable
