Sea Mar Community Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) founded in 1978. We are a community-based organization committed to providing quality, comprehensive health, human, housing, educational and cultural services to diverse communities, specializing in service to Latinos in Washington State. Position: Phlebotomist – Posting #27478
Location: Medical Clinic, Elma, WA
Schedule: Full-time
Note: Sea Mar is a mandatory COVID-19 and flu vaccine organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, waived tests, Automated CBCs, EKGs, and Spirometry to assist in the diagnostic and treatment process.
- Keep and maintain lab reports and logs; process specimens for outside referrals; maintain inventory of supplies.
- Follow patient care protocols after venipuncture and perform tasks in a safe manner in compliance with Sea Mar health, safety, and infection control programs.
- Assist the Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Technologist when necessary.
Qualifications and Education
- Active Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist (MA-P) certification from the Washington State Department of Health is required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Exceptional customer service and blood drawing skills.
- Foreign applicants: equivalency in the US for the HS Diploma; graduation and certification from a recognized US phlebotomy program or verified foreign credentials.
- Must pass a pre-hire competency test.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
