Pay rate: $19 per hour

Schedule: 1st Shift / 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday – Friday

Overview

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility in Columbus, GA. This is a 3-month assignment with potential for contract-to-hire.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Clearly explain the venipuncture process and other specimen collection procedures (e.g., urine or fecal) as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
• Understand all physician orders. Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure accuracy.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Store specimen samples according to required temperature and handling procedures.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of phlebotomy experience is required.
