Overview

Obtains blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis using accepted clinical methods, taking into account the individual patient’s special physical, mental or age-related needs and performs processing of specimens.

Responsibilities

• Obtain blood samples from patients for laboratory analysis following approved clinical methods.
• Respect patients’ physical, mental, and age-related needs during procedures.
• Process specimens as required.

Qualifications

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer a two year degree from an accredited college.
• Prefer phlebotomy certification.
• Possess one (1) month experience in drawing blood from clinical patients. This does not include on the job training.
• Prefer six (6) months experience in drawing blood from clinical patients. Possess good computer skills.

Compensation

Rate of Pay: $18.96 – $21.09 per hour. Experience differential after one (1) year of service.

Status: 5:00am – 1:30pm (40 hours)
