We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist for an inpatient hospital position in Warren, MI. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections, and be the face of the company. Additionally, you will have opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday and every other weekend, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Benefits: Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Job Responsibilities:

  1. Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
  2. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
  3. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and promptly.
  4. Process billing information and collect payments when required.
  5. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
  6. Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
  7. Provide superior customer service to all patients.
  8. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
  9. Travel to additional sites when needed.

Job Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred.
  3. Previous experience as a phlebotomist is highly preferred.
  4. Candidates who have completed a phlebotomy externship will also be considered.
  5. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
  8. Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
  9. Reliable transportation and a clean driving record, if applicable.
  10. Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
  11. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
