Pride Health is hiring a Part-Time Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604. This is a 04+ months assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity. Location: Hasbrouck Heights, NJ 07604 | Shift: M-F 8 AM-12 PM | Pay rate: $21.79/hr on W2 (pay rate based on experience and educational qualifications).

Base pay range

$20.00/hr - $21.79/hr

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing a variety of duties including blood draws, specimen collection, and ensuring accurate specimen labeling and processing.
  • Troubleshoot, train, and make workflow recommendations as needed.
  • Float across multiple locations and roles to cover daily activities of the Patient Service Center, Mobile, Long Term Care, and In-Office Phlebotomy.
  • Demonstrate leadership behaviors with a focus on process excellence and accuracy of patient information.
  • Act as a coach, mentor, and resource on-site; provide onboarding support to new staff and serve as a point of contact to the group lead or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with multiple functions (Sales, Laboratory Testing Services, IT connectivity, Billing, Logistics) for complex test orders.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting and lead daily activities when needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Work Experience

  • Five years phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
  • Minimum 3 years in a PSC/IOP environment preferred.
  • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
