Schedule: Full Time

Shift: Overnight — 7on/7off, 12-hour shifts (7pm to 7am, every other Wednesday through Tuesday)

Location: 1500 SW 1st Ave Ocala, Florida 34471

Responsibilities

  • Interprets provider orders and prescriptions, compounds and dispenses medications within regulatory guidelines and professional standards.
  • Consults with patients and others as required regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions.
  • Provides drug information to patients, health care workers and others as necessary.
  • Ability to provide oversight and supervision of pharmacy technicians and other supporting staff including directing work flow and assurance of completion of duties.
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in area of practice.
  • Interprets prescription and medication orders completely and accurately and completes the necessary steps for clarification and validation for safe and effective patient care in compliance with state/federal rules and regulations.
  • Demonstrates professional judgment in advising and counseling patients and healthcare team.
  • Monitors drug utilization information and detects potential drug interactions, overlaps, over and under dosing and other unique situations.
  • Participates in Code Blue and other emergency situations to ensure adequate drug supply and appropriate drug use.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors
  • 1+ years experience (preferred)
  • Licensed Pharmacist
  • New Grads Welcomed!!
