Overview
LIVIT Staffing is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our client's team in Ames, IA! If you're ready to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain top-quality production equipment while enjoying great pay and benefits, this is the job for you!
Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (12-hours, overnight, full-time)
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and automation systems (including PLCs and VFDs)
- Operate and adjust production machinery, including format and size changes
- Assist and lead maintenance procedures, working with contractors/vendors as needed
- Monitor plant facilities, including air and fire systems
- Work closely with production teams to keep operations running smoothly
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of maintenance experience (mechanical & electrical) preferred
- Experience with PLCs and VFDs a plus
- Manufacturing maintenance background preferred
- Associate degree or trade school certification is a plus, but not required
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
