ZipRecruiter is hiring: Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift in Indianapolis

Overview

Pro Talent Group, a division of MS-IL Staffing & Packaging, in partnership with a leading local client, is hiring for a full-time Maintenance Technician position in the Avon, Indiana area.

We’re looking for skilled individuals to maintain and repair processing equipment, ensuring top performance and safety.

Shifts Available:

• 3rd Shift: 10 PM – 6:30 AM

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards (OSHA, GMPs, etc.).
• Lead Preventative Maintenance (PM) efforts to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues with PLCs, VFDs, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Complete work orders efficiently and maintain detailed documentation.
• Assist with equipment changes and startup processes.
• Manage parts inventory and reordering processes.
• Embrace Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of maintenance experience or 5 years in a related trade.
• Industry Knowledge: Experience in food processing or manufacturing is a big plus!
• Proficiency with machine tools, hand tools, and electrical troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
• Tools: Must own personal hand tools; specialized tools will be provided.
