What you bring to SBHG(Qualifications):

Education and Experience

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed vocational nursing or psychiatric technology is required. An associate’s degree is preferred.
  • One year of experience in an inpatient setting treating the mentally ill is preferred.
  • One year of medication administration experience is required.
  • A valid California LVN or LPT license, current CPR certification, and First Aid certification are all required.

How you will make a difference:

The LVN / LPT provides direct client care, including administering medication and overseeing nursing activities performed by professional and paraprofessional staff on the unit. Core duties involve ordering, preparing, administering, and accurately documenting all client medications according to physician orders. This role requires confirming pharmacy deliveries, communicating pertinent client information to the team (verbally and in writing), writing weekly client summaries, and ensuring proper nursing documentation is maintained during the shift.

Division/Program Overview:

The Crisis Residential Treatment (CRT) is a short-term, 24/7 voluntary residential facility for adults ages 18-59 experiencing a psychiatric crisis. The program is designed to help residents safely stabilize, recover, and transition back to the community. Services include therapeutic and mental health support, rehabilitation (including substance use services), pre-vocational counseling, medication evaluation and support, daily exercise, wellness education, and crisis intervention.
