Overview
Health Care Ancillaries, Phlebotomy-Adjunct Instructor at Lassen Community College.
Responsibilities
- Meeting with classes as scheduled by the Instructional Services Office.
- Teaching classes in accordance with the college catalog and the course outline of record.
- Providing a current syllabus consistent with the course outline of record to all students for each class; file the syllabus with the Office of Instruction within one week of the first meeting of the class.
- Reviewing textbooks, workbooks, and other materials in cooperation with other faculty in the same subject area.
- Maintaining accurate and current records of student attendance and achievement per District procedures.
- Reporting absences to the appropriate Dean.
- Submitting grade rosters to the Office of Admissions and Records within five (5) District business days after the last day of finals; ensuring all forms are properly completed as scheduled.
- Being accessible to students for problem solving and success.
Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Instructor requirements include standard minimum qualifications for instruction/coordination of health care ancillaries and, in addition, one of the following: Licensed physician and surgeon; or Licensed physician assistant; or Registered nurse; or Respiratory care practitioner with at least 2 years of recent experience; or Certified phlebotomy technician with at least 3 years of recent experience, or a phlebotomist with 3 years of recent experience employed as a phlebotomy instructor with applicable certification prior to specified regulatory date.
- Compliance with California Code of Regulations as applicable to the position.
