Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Phlebotomists within the Scottsdale campus and oversee staff development.
- Provide oversight for quality and service, regulatory compliance, work unit safety, strategic planning, document management, financial management, and development and implementation of new services.
- Work cooperatively with a wide variety of customers, as well as internal and external resources.
- Complete special projects as assigned by the laboratory leadership (laboratory consultant/director(s), administrator and/or operations manager(s)).
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Mayo Clinic DOES NOT participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or a master’s degree, preferably in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, healthcare management/business or a health-related field AND a minimum of four years of laboratory experience to the applicable lab area.
Additional Requirements
- Must have demonstrated leadership, communication (oral and written) and problem-solving ability.
- Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently.
- Requires human relations skills to influence and motivate others.
- ASCP certification or other certification pertinent to the laboratory field may be required depending on the laboratory specialty.
