Job Description

Join Florida’s leading distributor of industrial air compressors and related equipment. We are looking for a dependable and experienced Shipping and Receiving Associate to support warehouse operations at our Tampa facility. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of all inbound and outbound shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips or invoices
  • Prepare and package orders for outgoing shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper labeling
  • Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other material-handling equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving transactions
  • Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure on-time order processing and fulfillment
  • Ensure all products are stored safely and in the correct locations
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
  • Keep the shipping/receiving area clean and organized
  • Follow all safety protocols and company procedures

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Forklift certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving required
  • Familiarity with freight carriers, LTL, and shipping documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer and inventory system skills
  • Team-oriented with good communication skills

Work Environment:

  • Warehouse setting with frequent physical activity
  • Must be comfortable operating forklifts and other equipment daily
  • PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided as needed
