Software Tester

Job Description

Forge requires a Software Tester to join our team supporting the U.S. Army. This individual will work with scrum teams to understand requirements, review features, perform extensive integration tests, document test scripts and results, and collaborate with developers to review results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with SMEs and scrum teams to understand user stories
  • Review implementation of user stories
  • Perform integration testing; document test results and issues in user stories
  • Review test results and demonstrate issues to development teams
  • Rapidly answer questions for development teams
  • Maintain Active Security Clearance

Qualifications/Requirements

The candidate must think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must build cross-group relationships and demonstrate organizational skills and attention to detail. They should thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity or competing priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • US Citizen
  • Five years of professional experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline
  • Experience with Jira
  • Software experience with GitLab
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience documenting test results within a backlog

Highly Desired Qualifications

  • Scrum or SAFe certification
  • Active Security Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Appian experience (or other low-code platform)
  • API experience

Job Details

  • Job: Full-time
  • Location: DC, MD, VA area (Telework, Travel up to 10 times/yr)
  • Salary Range: $115k - $135k/yr
