The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Software Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Responsibilities Support the software engineering lifecycle following the SDP: requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code and unit testing, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. Develop software for embedded/real-time systems using languages such as C, C++, and Python. Collaborate within a team to deliver missile defense software and related capabilities. Qualifications Experience in Embedded Systems Experience with C++, C, and Python programming languages Understanding of Object Oriented Design and full software development lifecycle Experience with VxWorks Desired Skills Experience writing and designing to software requirements Ability to perform software integration and test development activities Ability to work within multiple programming languages, operating systems, and development environments Experience with driver development Experience with board support package development Experience with operating system configuration and/or development Security Clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret Other Information Work Environment: Onsite Full-time; work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. Schedule: 9x80 schedule with every other Friday off. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For other locations, salary will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This is a general guideline and offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market factors.
