Start Date: 25-26

Woodmont High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Strength and Conditioning Coach to join our athletic department. The successful candidate will design and implement strength and conditioning programs to enhance the performance and overall well-being of our student-athletes. This position requires a Physical Education (PE) certification and a passion for fostering athletic development in a high school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive strength, conditioning, and fitness programs tailored to various sports teams and individual athletes.
  2. Conduct training sessions focusing on strength, speed, agility, endurance, and injury prevention.
  3. Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and staff to ensure programs align with team goals and athlete needs.
  4. Monitor and evaluate athlete progress, providing feedback and adjustments to training plans as needed.
  5. Educate athletes on proper exercise techniques, nutrition, and recovery strategies.
  6. Maintain and oversee the safe use of the school’s weight room and fitness facilities.
  7. Assist with PE classes as needed, incorporating fitness and conditioning principles.
  8. Foster a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment for all student-athletes.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Physical Education (PE) certification required.
  2. Certification from a recognized Strength and Conditioning organization is required.
  3. Prior experience in strength and conditioning, preferably in a high school or collegiate setting.
  4. Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports performance training.
  5. Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills.
  6. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate team schedules.
  7. Commitment to student-athlete development and safety.
