Mobile Engineer /HVAC Technician

Location: Des Moines, Iowa

Job Type: Contract, 12 months

Primary Function:

Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility systems across multiple locations, with expertise in one core area (e.g., Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing) and working knowledge of others.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Travel between facilities to ensure operational integrity.
• Perform preventive maintenance and manage inventory and vendor services.
• Clean, inspect, calibrate, and replace HVAC components.
• Record equipment readings and make necessary adjustments.
• Ensure safe handling of hazardous materials and maintain a clean work environment.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure safety compliance.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience in commercial building systems maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in MEP and HVAC systems.
• EPA 608 Type II Certification.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Preferred:
• EPA 608 Universal Certification.
• 2 years of trade school in electrical, refrigeration, or HVAC.
